UChicago PhD alumni panelists Maia Czaikowski (Chemistry ’17; GSK), Lizeth Tamayo (Genetic Epidemiology ’23, Tempus AI), and Jeff Montgomery (Chemical Biology ’21, ReAx Biotechnologies) discussed their successful translation of wet and dry lab skills into successful early careers as industry scientists.

Chicago Biomedical Consortium (CBC) Info Session (March 1)
Dr. Michelle Hoffman (Executive Director, CBC), discussed CBC’s Entrepreneurial Fellowship Award Program, which identifies and supports the professional development of junior life sciences researchers who are keen to develop the skills and experiences needed to move translational projects from a university lab toward commercialization and potentially into a Chicago-based biotech start-up.
